About the founder of Ritual Healing, Ash Mills
I’ve always leaned towards using symbols to make sense of the world and have been drawing ever since I could remember. My journey of doing “the inner work” started more than decade ago in Chicago. Since then I’ve encountered a handful of amazing mentors, therapists, teachers and books that allow me to do the type of work I do now. It took quite some time to learn that the confusion I’ve experienced was my intuitive nature and a strong ability to pick up on the people and energies around me. I feel incredibly fortunate to put together my passion for art, connection, healing and tattooing into this process.
I do not consider myself a healer. I like to think I guide and hold space for people to heal themselves. My work is rooted in old school psychoanalysis, a deep understanding of the psyche and nervous system as well as the importance of being seen, heard, validated and taking the time to align with our values, intentions and beliefs. Descriptive words I get most often is disarming, wise and a little goofy. My intuitive work does not come from any particular culture or lineage. I’m just a very old soul born into a middle class, midwest, white family.
I know using the word “intuitive” can make some think this might just be just for people leading spiritual journeys. I am incredibly honored to say that I have worked with politicians, lawyers, CEOs, therapists, professors, and so many different types of people leading different life styles.
Everyone has a story worth telling. And everyone is worthy of being seen, heard and understood.
A few important things to note: I am a licensed body artist by the state of Colorado and all of the tattooing supplies are properly handled and sanitized. I have always been good at holding space for people without judgment, however, I am not a licensed therapist. Everything that is shared during the intuitive tattooing session is always confidential.
