About Ash
I’ve always leaned toward symbols to make sense of the world — and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. My journey with “the inner work” began more than a decade ago in Chicago. Since then I’ve been guided by extraordinary mentors, therapists, teachers, and books that shaped the work I do today. It took time to understand that the confusion I often felt was actually my intuitive nature — a deep sensitivity to the people and energies around me. I feel incredibly fortunate to weave my passions for art, connection, healing, and tattooing into one practice.I do not consider myself a healer. I see myself as someone who guides and holds space so people can heal themselves. My work is rooted in old-school psychoanalysis, a grounded understanding of the psyche and nervous system, and the profound importance of being truly seen, heard, validated, and aligned with our own values, intentions, and beliefs. Clients often describe me as disarming, wise, and a little goofy. My intuitive approach isn’t tied to any particular culture or lineage — I’m simply an old soul who happened to be born into a middle-class Midwestern white family.I know the word “intuitive” can make some people think this work is only for those on explicitly spiritual journeys. I’m honored to say I’ve worked with politicians, lawyers, CEOs, therapists, professors, and people from every kind of life and background.
Everyone has a story worth telling.
everyone is worthy of being seen, heard, and understood.
A few important things to note:
• I am a licensed body artist in a licensed private studio in the state of Colorado. All tattooing supplies are handled and sanitized to the highest standards.
• I’m skilled at holding non-judgmental space, but I am not a licensed therapist. Everything shared during an intuitive tattooing session remains completely confidential.
ETHOS
Authenticity, vulnerability and connection is the pathway to transformation. To offer a space where a person can show up exactly as they are and share the places they’ve been with safety and without any judgment. To provide a space for transformation using the ancient tools of storytelling, symbols and tattooing. All ages, skin tones and walks of life are welcome.
Ancient tattooing practices in the modern world
Ancient tattooing practices are being beautifully revived in our modern world as powerful vehicles for healing and self-remembrance. What began thousands of years ago as sacred ritual—seen in the therapeutic markings of Ötzi the Iceman, the protective symbols of ancient Egypt, and the profound storytelling traditions of Polynesian tatau and Māori ta moko—has always been far more than decoration. These were medicinal acts of transformation, protection, and spiritual connection. Today, this ancestral wisdom lives on through intentional ceremonial tattooing, turning personal stories into living symbols that support emotional release, energetic alignment, and the journey back home to yourself. At Ritual Healing, we honor these ancient roots by creating intuitive tattoos that serve as sacred talismans for your unique path.
